Peter Lindbergh is a fashion photographer that has achieved success at the highest level and in 1989 he famously shot a group of models that would come to be known as supermodels and define a new era in fashion, the supermodels were Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.
Lindbergh often uses strong black and white imagery and photography to create his images. He has also worked with every significant publication in the fashion industry including Vogue magazine and the Pirelli calendar.
“For me, every photograph is a portrait; the clothes are just a vehicle for what I want to say. You’re photographing a relationship with the person you’re shooting; there’s an exchange, and that’s what that picture is.” – Peter Lindbergh
