Seneca – On the shortness of life

Seneca_01

Lucius Annaeus Seneca, who was in my opinion the most eloquent and sagacious of all Roman philosophers, is captured here beautifully in a recording from one of his most pertinent essays.

How eminently do his words ring out to those today who complain about their lack of time. “It is not that we have a short space of time, but that we waste much of it. Life is long enough, and it has been given in sufficiently generous measure to allow the accomplishment of the very greatest things if the whole of it is well invested.” – Seneca

Philosopher: Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Narrator: Alex McDavid
